I photograph the moment a space becomes present, felt through what we have inherited and what the body knows on its own, before it is understood.

Hannu Rytky is a Finnish architect and photographer based in Helsinki. As an architect, he reads buildings from the inside, where structure turns into experience. Two decades of competitive breaking taught him how the body senses space.​

​

He has also worked as part of the JKMM design team on public projects including Dance House, Tammela Stadium and the extension of the National Museum of Finland.
